It started as an Art Day session working with classical architectural themes. Images of Brunelleschi's dome inspired. Asymmetry emerged. A negative-positive element surfaced. The artist generated an intriguing writing-like pattern. A texture of high cut pile with lower loop pile was selected so the script and architectural elements appear pressed into the surface - patterns disappearing into an ancient artwork. Eight wool colours and two silk colours mindfully selected to unify and enhance.
